God and guns part 2

The chaps in Utah are at present sorting out a British Lee Enfield rifle as a birthday present to myself, something guaranteed to make future trips go with a bang. It is also just another part of my plan to bring America back into the embrace of the mother country after this foolish temporary dalliance with a republic....how is all that states rights stuff working out now folks?

Way-cool!! See if they can sort you out a No.4 mk.I's with the battle sight located at the receiver instead of out on the barrel. :-) The Aussies are making some nice ones, but the occasional gun show will find one fresh from armory re-furbishment, still in the wax-paper wrapper.
As a Colonial I've always been keen on the Ishapore's but since me dear Auntie lived next to Enfield Lock in Winchmore Hill, any will do - even a Snider.

Got an old one in my closet that belonged to my dad; I think it's older than me.

Scrobs - nor me neither. Quite takes me back.

I've still got my .303 marksman's badge somewhere around here... terrifically proud of it, I was.

Still am, actually. Pathetic.

Scrobs and WY...it will be a while till I get to shoot it but I'll let you know how I get on but I doubt a badge will be coming my way.

Lovely Lee- E's aside ,with your trips into cowboy land you should be after a winchester, preferably sawn off and in a holster like Steve McQueen in 'Wanted dead or alive 'on telly, long ago....You could try the McQueen look with the Lee-Enfield but i'm not sure it'd have the same effect.
Glad to see your having a good time, take it easy 'r' kid
