Great stuff Thudders!

All for suet these days, you can't get a better glue to bind the front of the stomach to the back...

Do you mant Mrs S's recipe for savoury muffins?

It came from Sainsbury's but we're killing for them each weekend, they're the best thing since - er - sliced bread!

ahh yes, suet.
Essential ingredient of that staple diet of poor families in the fifties.... bread pudding.
Made some yesterday, the suet packet has on it a recipe... not for proper food like jam rolly-polly, spotted dick or suet crust steak and kidney pud.... but for a bloody goats cheese quiche !

what is the world coming to.....

Did the Princesses get to make wishes ?
I made a wish when I was stirring the bread pud mix.... but I see Cameron is still fit and healthy today, perhaps wishes are restricted to Christmas stuff only

H...wishes where made but as for your wish perhaps time will tell for the God of puddings works in mysterious ways.

My mum does two puddings on alternate years. This is always how it has been done in her family.

I was in the car on Sunday with the radio on and discussion was all about the puddings. "Oh, it must be stir up Sunday already" said I. "What's that then?" came the astonished reply.

Mincemeat soon, then pies, then the Christmas pudding and the cake, and then - oh joy - the Black Bun.

The Prosecco is in the cupboard.

And the goose, ordered a few weeks ago, is presumably getting fat somewhere near Saffron Walden.

I love it.
