State of play

The lads have been in the last couple of days tidying up various jobs and setting up for the new year. As can be seen the new kitchen is taking shape but what a job it has been...windows in,windows out, walls up and walls down plus about 3 tons of render on one of the walls in an effort to finally give us a square room. Kitchens are not my favourite parts of a rebuild as they cost so much money and are all pretty much similar, but apparently we need one...who knew? Next year should see the inside of the house finished by spring and the external work completed by summers end but who knows just what the old girl will throw at us before then? making a mockery of my timetable and my bank account. What I really need to know though is when the last of the frosts will happen as 12 tons of lime render need to be delivered and put on before the weather gets too dry...too warm, too wet, too cold, ah! its fun being a builder...really! All in all though next year is shaping up on all fronts to be a cracker, so here's to it and a happy new year from the OTW family to all who bother to take a little time and pass by this way.

Happiest and most prosperous of New Years. Best of all time tables on the reconstruction of house and construction of new little life. From Central Nor Cal.

Next year will indeed be a cracker Thudders!

There's so much more to do, here too, but at least we can all shed the disasters left by the Brown fiasco, and make some headway!

How many Thudettes will this be?
