Wilde Deere
I was lucky enough last week to catch a hurried shot of two John Deere tractors at play in their natural habitat. If they breed I'm hoping to get my hands on one of their progeny come spring......with what do I bait a trap?
I would of thought Toys R Us would be a better place to get one of those in it's natural surroundings, though I have seen one at Beeston market and easily trapped just by shouting to a guy called an auctioneer and going back to his hut with a cheque book or a gold credit card or even lots of £5 or £10 pound notes, please remember £5 or £10 notes would be better as whisper (sometimes they don't charge the vat).
'Tractorphilia' can be a very dangerous fetish, especially if it is indulged in by the inexperienced. In fact you could be living with a Tractorphile and never know it!!! The key to unlocking your irrational hankerings is simply that...the key.All JD's can be started by the same key.In fact Pikeys cross- fantasise(or is it fertilise?) about stealing them almost daily. In your case, you would not be stealing it though, merely borrowing it, to satisy your deep seated desires. So,simply get a key from one JD and use it to 'borrow' another. But be careful not to undertake this exercise in the snow and you must promise to return it by daybreak or you will never grow a pumpkin ever again.....Who's barmy now? P.S. The word veri is 'fiedlex'...an anagram of ex-field...it's written in the stars...go get it by the light of tonights meteorites..
PS, if you're interested in an unusual investment then you could do far worse than a Hugh Manson MB1 guitar in glitter red.
Hugh is getting on a bit and won't be making guitars in any volume for very much longer I don't think.
The red guitar was exclusive to Muse's Matt Bellamy until very recently. Bellamy is widely revered as the new Hendrix and not without reason - I think he's better in fact. He's here to stay.
An MB1 (must be in red glitter, remember) can be commissioned from Manson for around £4k.
The real star in all of this is the legendary luthier Hugh Manson. Once he stops hand making the MB1s they will rocket in price.
Truly a thing of beauty - to be kept and not played (who would dare immitate Bellamy ?)

Nocturnal visit to one of the sleeping beasts, armed with some wire.
Vinomaker says bait the trap with pounds (sterling), I say some 10W30 motor oil!
