As I was not able to find an over under shotgun at the price I wanted I decided to buy as a temporary measure the little beauty shown above. Now the
Benelli may not be the wooden stock, engraved gunmetal piece I was looking for, in fact it couldn't be more different, but it will do the trick. I don't think somehow I'm going to get invited to the local Leverhulme shoot carrying the polymer coated beastie but who cares...I'd look an arse in tweed anyway.

There's no harm in having a combat version as well as an ornamental one these days.
Kev...vermin come in all shapes and sizes.
Indeed. Can you hit Obama from there?
"The Supernova is known for its large trigger guard", well that's fame for you...
I note that the gun contains mercury; so if you can't shoot the bastards you can poison them instead....it's nice to have a plan B, I commend your thinking.
Be useful around Liverpool.
Looks good to me! If you want you can put green tiger-stripes on it and nobody will grouse about the wood. Or you can get a faux-painter to do it up IN woodgrain!
Trick is to parallel smush two different brown colors (one light, one dark) together with a semi-dry brush, then spatter with raw umber and dry-brush again, then... oh shit, that's my Theater scenery days talking again...
DC...theatre?...we all have a dark past!
OMG!!! *ENVY*ENVY*ENVY* with a chaser of *HAPPY FOR YOU*! That looks like SOOOO much fun. I hope to acquire a Benelli of my own sometime in the next year.
