busmans holiday
This summer in California I have tried to avoid all things building and architecture related and just enjoy time with family. While in Utah however I did see houses that I just couldn't help taking notice of. Utah houses tend to be more substantial than most Californian cardboard houses (winter I suppose) and the two shown are typical examples. The smaller of the two has just quietly aged and settled into its surroundings whilst the other is undergoing a complete refurb. I was told one guy has done most of the work and I can only congratulate him on his efforts as it is a good looking and homely house.

I could quite happily reside in that second house, except for the corner lot!
Top one for me!
I'd sit on a lounger with a beer, waving "G'day y'all" to everyone...
That looks quite different to the Utah which Bob, a reader at my place, shows pics of. His is more "deserty".
