Working class hero

Slogging through the dark damp days that make up most of autumn and winter here can be somewhat of a trial and we all need to find something to brighten up the week. My week tends to centre around Saturday and the trials and tribulations of Liverpool football club, especially now that the club has hit troubled times. Growing up, the wit and wisdom of this man was one of the major reasons that people stuck with the club regardless of results and I clearly remember as a young lad attending his testimonial match...He is sadly missed but always remembered.

Old Style England. That teacup waiting for him says it all really (instead of now - the magnum of champers)

A fine man. That pale imitation of him, Rafa Benitez, has (inexplicably) been foisted on my team. Presumably they think he's the only man who can get Torres to get the pill into the back of the onion net.

Idle, I'm afraid poor old nando may need a lead pill to put him out of his misery.

It's people like this who give an organization its character.

I think the man behind may be the late Bob Azurdia, a commentater on BBC Radio Merseyside.
