Dee Dee Ramone passed away 14 years ago today.Before Dee Dee bass players stood around attempting to at least catch a bit of reflected glory from the bands guitarist or singer. After Dee Dee bass players could be stars as well...the boy could play a bit too!

That's it, I'm going to listen to some Ramones right now...
Bass players are always the stars to me. They're the ones I watch on stage, so laid back, they're almost falling over.
Trouble is, I remember 'Diamonds', by Jet Harris and Tony Meehan...
