Vino

Looking down on part of the Napa valley from where I am staying one can only admire just how much has been done with such a small area.I'm not sure of the total value of the wine industry here but I know its in the multi billions and the whole valley is truly beautiful. In the pic my kid sister vinogirl is working away in one of the wineries making her contribution to the industry while waiting to decide when to harvest her own crop, a wait you can feel along the entire valley......and to think her brother still prefers a bottle of lager, Oh the shame!

A lot of people who don't like wine-crowds have moved up to Amador County and made it crowded! El Dorado isn't too bad, but there's a helluva lot of work to do before the first bottling, and if you rely on wine-tourism it might not pan-out.
