Problems

Jeremy Corbyn may be the next Prime Minister, a possibility that fills me with so many emotions I find myself having to devote lots of time and effort starting to plan for the devastation to my life that would ensue. It would be lax and foolish to not plan for the horror that a Labour/communist Govt would inflict on the country and more importantly for me, my family, its finances and future..... so lots of plans to make and much musing here over next few months.

It's a pity you can't just rest after years of hard work and carefulness.

Yes. If I were of greater means I'd be storing wealth in different pots and different places.*

I hope your accountant is good.

*I'm in the squeezed middle where I'm exposed to tax and the bands haven't moved to adjust to inflation. Kids at university mean I'd be better taking a considerable pay cut. The only advantage I have is that I can borrow. Otherwise £25k would probably be the optimum salary in my position.

While Corbyn and his idiot chums would ruin the country, I don't honestly think he'll ever get into power.

There's too much at stake from the moderate Middle Roaders as well as the Righters, to allow that to happen, but I agree that you're wise to take precautions earlier than later.
