Double trouble 3
No that the initial euphoria and panic of the new baby's arrival has subsided I am back in the saddle again in my hunt for a new home/homes. In England the house I was outbid on, is back in the frame again along with all its glorious possibilities and attendant problems. The picture shows the troublesome stone work of one of the several cottages that come with the house.I love working with stone and red sandstone being a particularly pleasing stone to work, the prospect of tackling these cottages is something I relish although there is rather a lot of work...big bills too! The trustees of the Leverhulme trust need to consider my offer now and then we shall see what happens....fingers crossed. In California I now have a realtor helping me in my search as many of the properties I have viewed online only provide limited info without a realtor....to a Brit a strange state of affairs. Everything I have been interested in the Napa valley so far has been too run down to consider so I need to find a 'fixer upper' that requires work but hopefully nothing too drastic...the search continues.
