As our summer in California winds down I have indulged in my passion for ice cream at all opportunities, not fancy ice cream just the plain old supermarket varieties. I'm not big on iced drinks and other methods of mitigating against the heat but ice cream hits the spot and these damned Yankees make fine ice cream!

That's interesting about the ice cream, must be even creamier here. The Americans are also great at making cold drinks into a dessert too (and hot ones) as I witness friends layering cream, syrup and sprinkles into their coffee in the morning. The American Dream: a 10,000 calorie breakfast drink.

Yes...at Starbucks, they should ask if you want whipped cream on your mocha, not just assume that you do. Right Thud?
